Blacklion House

The Building Services Division of the IPS were tasked with providing an Educational and Training Facility at Loughan House Open Prison. The building had to blend into the surrounding woodlands. The facility was constructed using System Build Technology to reduce the construction programme on-site. The end result provided the IPS with a state of the art facility that can be used for the training and rehabilitating of prisoners for years to come.

A fully accredited astro turf football pitch was a late addition to the contract to enable sporting activities to be held at prison.
